Setting Up Email on Android

Quick Android email setup. Have your full email address and its password ready.

Server settings

  • Incoming (IMAP): mail.atriomail.com, port 993, SSL/TLS
  • Outgoing (SMTP): mail.atriomail.com, port 587, STARTTLS
  • Username: your full email address

You can also read these from the Connect your mail client card on the Dashboard of the control panel.

Using Gmail App

  1. Open the Gmail app
  2. Menu → SettingsAdd account
  3. Select Other
  4. Enter your full email address and password
  5. Select Personal (IMAP)
  6. Enter the incoming and outgoing server settings above when Gmail asks for them

Native Email App

  1. Open the Email app
  2. Add Account
  3. Enter your email address and password
  4. Choose manual setup and select IMAP
  5. Enter the server settings above

Troubleshooting

  • "Can't connect": check the server is exactly mail.atriomail.com and the ports are 993 and 587
  • "Authentication failed": use your full email address as the username and retype the password
  • "Certificate error": do not accept the warning. Check the server name matches mail.atriomail.com, and if the warning stays, contact support through the live chat in the control panel
  • Mail arrives but will not send: make sure the app is set to require sign-in for outgoing mail
