Setting Up Email on iPhone/iPad
Quick setup for iOS devices. Have your full email address and your mailbox password ready (the mailbox password, not your control panel password).
Quickest: install the settings file
Do this on the iPhone or iPad itself.
- In Safari, sign in to the control panel at system.atriomail.com, open Email Mailboxes and tap the mailbox.
- Tap Set up on iPhone, iPad or Mac at the top of the page and allow the download.
- Open Settings → General → VPN & Device Management, tap the downloaded profile and tap Install. iOS shows it as Not Signed; that is expected, the file is generated for your mailbox and carries no signature.
- Enter your mailbox password when asked. The file does not contain it.
- Open Mail: your mailbox is there.
Add the account by hand
- Settings → Mail → Accounts (iOS 18 and later: Settings → Apps → Mail → Mail Accounts)
- Add Account → Other → Add Mail Account
- Enter: Name, Email, Password, Description
- Tap Next
- Select IMAP and enter the server settings (below)
- Tap Save
Server settings
Use your full email address as the user name for both servers:
- Incoming (IMAP): mail.atriomail.com, port 993, SSL/TLS
- Outgoing (SMTP): mail.atriomail.com, port 587, STARTTLS
Get Settings: they are also on the Dashboard, in the Connect your mail client card. The file and these settings belong to the panel you sign in to: if your mailboxes come from a company with its own control panel address, use that panel, and its server name.
Troubleshooting
- "Cannot Verify Server Identity": do not accept the warning. Check that the server name is exactly mail.atriomail.com, and contact support if the warning keeps appearing.
- "Cannot Connect": check the server address and ports
- "Wrong Password": verify credentials (use your mailbox password, not your control panel password)
Testing
- Open Mail app
- Check inbox loads
- Send test email
