How to Upgrade Your Email Storage

Running out of space? Add storage to your mailbox in just a few clicks!

💰 Price: $0.60 per 5GB block per month
📦 Included storage: 15GB per mailbox
🚀 Maximum: 100GB per mailbox

When to Add Storage

You should add storage if:

  • Your mailbox is nearly full
  • You're getting "mailbox full" warnings
  • You can't receive new emails
  • You store lots of attachments
  • You need to keep email history

Check Your Current Storage

  1. Log into system.atriomail.com
  2. Go to "Email Mailboxes"
  3. Look at the Quota (GB) column and hover it
  4. You'll see, for example: "Used: 12.50 GB of 15.00 GB"
⚠️ Important: If your mailbox is completely full, you won't be able to receive new emails!

Step-by-Step: Add Storage

Step 1: Select Your Mailbox

  1. Go to Email Mailboxes
  2. Click on the mailbox you want to change
  3. In the Storage section, use the + or - button next to Disk space

Step 2: Choose How Many Blocks to Add

Storage is sold in 5GB blocks, up to 100GB per mailbox:

  • 15GB → 20GB = $0.60/month
  • 15GB → 25GB = $1.20/month
  • 15GB → 30GB = $1.80/month
  • And so on, in 5GB steps, to the 100GB maximum

A partial block rounds up to a whole block, and storage is billed on the size you set, not on how much mail is actually stored.

Step 3: Confirm

  1. Review the new storage amount
  2. Check the monthly cost
  3. Click Save changes
✅ Space right away! The new size applies to the mailbox as soon as you save, and the cost appears on your next monthly invoice.

Alternative: Free Up Space

Before adding storage, try these free options:

1. Delete Old Emails

  1. Sort emails by size (largest first)
  2. Delete emails with large attachments
  3. Empty your trash folder
  4. Clear spam folder

2. Download and Delete Attachments

  1. Download important attachments to your computer
  2. Delete the emails with attachments
  3. Save attachments to cloud storage (Google Drive, Dropbox)

3. Archive Old Emails

  1. Export old emails to your computer
  2. Use email client to archive (Outlook, Thunderbird)
  3. Delete archived emails from server
💡 Pro Tip: Set up automatic email deletion for old messages in your mail app (e.g., delete emails older than 1 year)
