Setting Up Email on iPhone/iPad

Follow these simple steps to add your AtrioMail email to your iPhone or iPad:

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • Your email address (example: you@yourdomain.com)
  • Your email password
  • A Wi-Fi or cellular connection

Step 1: Open Settings

  1. Tap the Settings app (gray icon with gears)
  2. Scroll down and tap Mail
  3. Tap Accounts

Step 2: Add Account

  1. Tap Add Account
  2. Tap Other (at the bottom of the list)
  3. Tap Add Mail Account

Step 3: Enter Your Information

  1. Fill in the form:
    • Name: Your name (how it appears when you send emails)
    • Email: Your full email address
    • Password: Your email password
    • Description: A name for this account (example: "Work Email")
  2. Tap Next at the top right

Step 4: Choose IMAP

  1. At the top, you'll see two options: IMAP and POP
  2. Tap IMAP (recommended)

Step 5: Enter Server Settings

Incoming Mail Server:

  • Host Name: mail.atriomail.com
  • User Name: Your full email address
  • Password: Your email password

Outgoing Mail Server:

  • Host Name: mail.atriomail.com
  • User Name: Your full email address
  • Password: Your email password

If iOS asks for ports, use 993 with SSL for incoming (IMAP) and 587 for outgoing (SMTP). The same settings are on the Dashboard, in the Connect your mail client card.

Step 6: Save and Verify

  1. Tap Next
  2. Wait while your iPhone verifies the settings
  3. If successful, you'll see checkmarks next to the server names
  4. Tap Save

Step 7: Test Your Email

  1. Open the Mail app
  2. You should see your new email account
  3. Try sending a test email to yourself
⚠️ Troubleshooting: If you see "Cannot Verify Server Identity", do not tap Continue. Tap Cancel, check that both host names are exactly mail.atriomail.com, and try again. If the warning keeps appearing, contact support.
💡 Pro Tip: iOS checks this kind of account on a schedule. To get new mail sooner, go to SettingsMailAccountsFetch New Data and choose a shorter interval.
