Why Are My Emails Not Sending?
If your emails aren't sending, don't worry! This is usually an easy fix. Let's check the most common causes:
1. Check Your Internet Connection
What to do:
- Make sure you're connected to Wi-Fi or have cellular data
- Try opening a website to test your connection
- If you're on Wi-Fi, try turning it off and back on
2. Verify Your Email Settings
Check these settings:
- Outgoing Server: Should be mail.atriomail.com
- Port: 587 with STARTTLS (or 465 with SSL)
- Username: Your full email address
- Password: Your mailbox password (not your control panel password)
These settings are shown on the Dashboard, in the Connect your mail client card.
3. Check Your Email Quota
Your mailbox might be full!
- Log into system.atriomail.com
- Go to Email Mailboxes
- Open the mailbox and check its storage usage
- If it is full, delete some old emails, or raise the mailbox size with Disk space in the mailbox's Storage section (extra storage is sold in 5 GB blocks at $0.60 per block per month)
4. Verify Recipient Email Address
Make sure the email address you're sending to is correct:
- No typos in the email address
- Includes the @ symbol
- Has a valid domain (like .com, .net, etc.)
5. Check for Error Messages
Look for any error messages when you try to send. Common ones:
- "Authentication failed" - Wrong password
- "Connection refused" - Wrong server settings
- "Quota exceeded" - Mailbox is full
