Why Am I Not Receiving Emails?
If emails aren't arriving in your inbox, don't worry! Let's check the most common causes and fix them:
1. Check Your Spam/Junk Folder
This is the #1 reason! Many emails end up in spam by mistake.
- Open your email app or webmail
- Look for a folder called "Spam", "Junk", or "Trash"
- Check if the missing emails are there
- If you find them, mark them as "Not Spam"
2. Check Your Mailbox Storage
If your mailbox is full, new emails can't be delivered.
- Log into system.atriomail.com
- Go to Email Mailboxes
- Look at the storage shown for the mailbox: is it full?
- If it is, delete old emails or raise Disk space in the mailbox's Storage section
3. Verify Forwarding
Check whether the mail is being passed on somewhere else:
- In the control panel, open Email Forwarders and Email Catch-All and check the entries on your domain
- In your webmail or mail app, look for a redirect or forwarding rule
- Remove anything you did not set up on purpose
4. Check Email Filters/Rules
You might have a filter that's moving emails automatically:
- Open your webmail or mail app settings
- Look for "Filters", "Rules", or "Sorting"
- Check if any filters are moving emails to folders
- Disable or adjust filters as needed
5. Verify Your Email Address
Make sure the sender has the correct email address:
- Ask them to double-check the spelling
- Confirm they're sending to the right domain
- Try sending a test email to yourself
6. Check Server Settings (Advanced)
If you're using an email app, verify these settings:
- Incoming Server: mail.atriomail.com
- Port: 993 (IMAP) or 995 (POP3)
- Security: SSL/TLS enabled
7. Check the Domain's DNS
If no mail at all arrives for a domain, its MX record may not point here yet, or it may still point at a previous provider.
- Go to Tools → DNS Checker and run a check on the domain
- Fix anything reported as missing or wrong, using the values in the domain's DNS Setup dialog under Email Domains
- DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to be seen everywhere, though most show up sooner
8. Check for Blocked Senders
If you're not receiving emails from a specific sender:
- Check your blocked senders list in your webmail or mail app
- Ask them to check whether their domain or sending server appears on blocklists
9. Test Email Delivery
Send yourself a test email:
- Use another email account (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.)
- Send an email to your address here
- Wait a few minutes
- Check all folders (Inbox, Spam, Junk)
