Cancellation and Data Export
Account data is deleted when you cancel, so copy your mail out before you ask to cancel.
Before you cancel
- Only need fewer mailboxes? You do not have to cancel. Delete the mailboxes you no longer need under Email Mailboxes. A mailbox is billed until it is deleted: deactivating a mailbox does not stop its charge.
- Have you copied your mail? Once the account is cancelled, its data is deleted.
Copying your mail out
Mailboxes use standard IMAP, so you can copy your mail to another provider or to your own computer:
- To another provider: use that provider's IMAP migration tool, or any IMAP migration tool, with these settings for your AtrioMail mailbox:
- Server:
mail.atriomail.com - Port: 993, SSL/TLS
- Username: your full email address
- Server:
- To your computer: add the mailbox to a desktop mail app (such as Thunderbird, Outlook or Apple Mail) using IMAP, wait for it to sync, then copy or export the folders to local storage.
IMAP copies your mail. If you keep contacts or calendars in a mail app, export them from that app.
How to cancel
Contact support through the live chat in the control panel and ask to cancel. Support is available during business hours.
Charges and refunds
- There is no cancellation fee.
- Service already billed is not refunded. The exception is a duplicate or unauthorized charge reported to support within 7 days.
- Removing mailboxes or storage shows up on your next monthly invoice. There are no partial-month charges and no credit for a month already paid.
- Your cards and invoices are on the Subscription page (the Manage Subscription button).
Remember: copy your mail out before you cancel.
