White-label branding for resellers
White-label branding lets you offer email hosting to your own clients under your own name. Your clients sign in to a control panel on your hostname, see your product name and favicon, and use a mail server hostname that carries your domain. You stay the provider they know; we run the platform behind it.
What it costs
There is no setup fee. White-label is included once your account pays for 50 or more mailboxes. Below that it costs $50 a month for your whole account, billed on the same monthly invoice as your mailboxes.
- Paid mailboxes are the mailboxes on your monthly mailbox invoice, at $1.39 each. Mailboxes covered by a free allowance do not count.
- The line is added at your next invoice when you turn white-label on with fewer than 50 paid mailboxes, and it drops off the month your account reaches 50. Nothing is charged or credited mid-month: the number of paid mailboxes on your renewal date decides.
- One white-label covers every hostname on your account. Extra storage stays at $0.60 per 5 GB block.
You set your own resale prices; we only ever bill your account, never your clients.
What it includes
- The control panel on your own hostname, for example panel.yourcompany.com
- Your product name and favicon in the panel
- Your logo on the help center pages
- Your own support email on the contact links
- Your own mail server hostname, for example mail.yourcompany.com, in the setup instructions your clients see
- Links to your own Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, shown alongside the platform's Acceptable Use Policy, Data Processing Agreement, Refund Policy and Billing Terms
- Your choice on live chat: the live chat with our support team is on by default on your hostname, for your clients too, and you can switch it off there with Show live chat. See Live chat support for resellers.
- An optional order portal where your clients can buy mailboxes from you directly
What stays visible
On your hostname the control panel carries your product name and favicon, and the help center pages show your logo. The emails the panel sends your clients, such as password resets, carry your product name as the sender and in the message, and replies go to your support address once you set one; the sending address behind that name, and the links in some of those emails, still show the platform's system hostname. A few layers stay neutral or show the platform: the raw headers of messages in transit, the interior of the webmail, payment pages, some platform legal documents, and the live chat, which shows neutral names rather than your brand. We tell you exactly which before you launch, so you decide with the full picture.
How to set it up
- Open Whitelabel Pricing in the control panel (in the Branding section, available to the account admin). The page shows whether white-label is included for your account today or $50 a month, and the date that charge would first appear on. You need an active mailbox subscription first: if you have none yet, start it on the Billing page.
- Click Set up your branded domain (or Add white-label below the threshold). That entry then becomes Whitelabel Domains. Create your brand there: the panel hostname, the mail server hostname, your company and product name, logos and favicon, your support email, your policy links and, if you want it, the order portal.
- At your DNS provider, add the A records the page shows for both hostnames. You need to control the DNS of both.
- Our team then activates the hostname and its certificate on our side and lets you know when your brand is live. Use Verify Domain on the Whitelabel Domains list once DNS has propagated.
Questions
Can I brand more than one hostname? Yes. The same rule covers every hostname on your account: included from 50 paid mailboxes, one $50 a month below it.
Do my clients need an account with you? No. Your clients are yours: you create their domains and mailboxes, or let them order through your portal, and we never bill them.
What happens if my paid mailboxes drop below 50? White-label stays on. From your next invoice it is billed at $50 a month, and we email you before that invoice. It becomes free again the month you are back at 50.
Can I cancel? Yes, at any time. Delete your branded hostname from Whitelabel Domains and the monthly line stops at the end of the paid month. There is no setup fee to lose.
